Chapter 1 This photo was taken the day I left my home of Los Angeles, CA to begin my new life in East Lansing, MI. I was so nervous in this situation because I did not know If I was going to be able make it by myself. The sun going down is representative of how my life in Los Angeles was coming to an end but a new day is approaching for my new time in East Lansing.

Light at the End In this photo I was travelling to Atlanta to visit some family and enjoy what the city of Atlanta has to offer. While sitting on the plane I took this picture because it reminds me how there is always light at the end no matter the circumstances and what you may be going through.

Little Light of Mine This photo was taken on my way to New Orleans, LA to visit my great grandmother for her 90th birthday party. I took this photo while nodding off to sleep because of the long delays that day. Every time I look at this photo I am reminded of my great grandmother and how she is such a ray of sunshine even on a bad day. I knew I was going to see her so I did not let the long day and the long delays affect me.

Coming Home This photo was taken coming back home to LA from being in Michigan by myself for almost six months by myself. Every time I look at this photo I am reminded of how much I have grown and how much my parents have taught me. Now I am heading home to come back to a place where I have learned so much but also gaining new lessons and experiences from my new home in East Lansing.

Clear Skies This photo was taken as I was heading into Washington D.C to go visit some friends. I love the city of Washington D.C and get excited to go at every chance I get. When I look at this picture it reminds me of pure bliss and happiness because of how much I love going to visit one of my favorite cities.

High Above This photo was taken for one of my family’s summer vacation as we were going to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. This photo reminds me of how in certain situations you should rise above and not lower yourself to a level where you know you aren’t supposed to be.

Annual Aspen This photo is a photo taken almost every year from my family. We go to Aspen every year for vacation with our family friends. This picture was taken right over the Rocky Mountains. This picture means a lot to me because it always reminds me of family and why family is so important. The reason family is so important is because the precious time we get to spend with each other.

Deepwater Horizons This photo was taken when I was going to Japan with my grandma as a surprise. This was my first time ever going to Asia and being on a plane that long. This photo will always remind me of how much world there is and how much of it we have not explored yet. It makes me optimistic of the future and how much travelling I would like to do in the future.
