If received by the deadline and approved, students will be charged the WRGP rate of resident tuition. Forms received and approved after this date will have the WRGP tuition rate posted starting in the following quarter. Which states are included in the WRGP network? What is WRGP? WRGP is the Western Regional Graduate Program, a program of the Western Interstate Commission for Higher Education (WICHE). Through WRGP, students in 14 Western states may enroll in approved graduate programs and pay resident tuition. Cal State East Bay is a WRGP member institution and offers fulltime students with residency in WRGP states tuition equivalent to the regular resident state university fees. The Master’s of Arts in Multimedia and the Master’s of Science in Recreation and Tourism have been approved for the WRGP. Do I need to apply to receive the WRGP rate? Yes. To be considered, students with legal residency in a state participating in WRGP must submit the WRGP Participation Agreement Form to receive the WRGP rate of resident tuition. How does WRGP participation impact my ability to become a California resident? Students cannot apply time accrued while participating in the WRGP program to establish California residency. What if I don’t want to be a WRGP student? You are not required to participate in the WRGP program. If you prefer to pay non-California resident fees, simply do not submit WRGP Participation Request Form.
