FORMAL EDUCATION COVERS THE INSTITUONS OF PRIMARY SCHOOL SECONDARY SCHOOL HIGH SCHOOL HIGHER EDUCATION PRE PRIMARY EDUCATION
PRE-PRIMARY EDUCATION Pre-school education is optional and covers children who have not yet reached the age of entry to primary education.
PRIMARY EDUCATION Primary Education, which is free at all state schools, is for the education of children between the ages of 5 and 10, and it is compulsory for all.
The purpose of primary education is to ensure that every Turkish child acquires the basic knowledge, skills, behaviors, and habits to become a good citizen, is prepared for life and for the next education level parallel to his/her interests and skills.They have a 4-year curriculum and prepare children for future higher education.
SECONDARY SCHOOL EDUCATION With a new Law in 2012, four years of Secondary school is also compulsory today. After finishing the Primary school, the students between the ages of 10 and 14 continue the Secondary school. They study Turkish, Social Science, Science and Technology, Maths, Foreign Language, Visual Arts, Physical Education, Religion Culture and optional subjects.
TURKISH EDUCATION SYSTEM HIGH EDUCATION The aims of hıgh education are ; to provide the students with common general culture to prepare them for tertiary education, life and vocational fields in accordance with their interests and talents through various programmes.
