What is a computer? Definition: An electronic device designed to accept data, perform prescribed mathematical and logical operations at high speed, and display the results of these operations. From dictionary.com In other words: A electronic device for storing and processing data.

What is computing? 1. the use of a computer to process data or perform calculations. 2. the act of calculating or reckoning(count; computation; calculation; a statement of an amount due; bill). from dictionary.com

Electronic Device Exercise???? Get into groups of 3 to 4. Using the internet find as many examples of computers or things containing computers. In your group divide up the job. Who will do what? Who will look for what?..... On the back of your paper: List the names of your team. List your examples! I need a name of the item, what is it and why? Turn in your paper for credit.

Computer Buying Project Homework for tonight! Interview a family member or friend to find out what features that person would like to have if they were buying a new personal computer. Example questions: What will be the uses of the computer? What are the space constraints? What is the price range? Etc. Bring in your answers to class tomorrow and you will be finishing the project in class.
