Composing a New Mail Message 4. Click on Send button. 1. Click on New Mail Message icon. 2. Type address of recipients or click To and CC buttons to search by last name. 3. Fill out Subject Field. Tab down to message area and type message. CCC and BCC are courtesy copies. Names entered into BCC are not seen by other recipients.

Adding Message Options Options can be added to indicate importance and sensitivity. Tracking and delivery options can be set. Click on Options button to open Message Options dialog box.

Attachments 2. Click on Insert File (paper clip) to open dialog box. 1. Place your cursor where you want to add attachment.

Locating the Document You Want to Attach 1. To insert document, simply double click on it or click Insert button. Click on down arrow next to Look in: field. Click on up one level icon to move level by level. Type name of file where document is stored in File Name field. To read attachment, double click on it. To delete attachment, click once on it then press <Delete> key.

Reading, Replying and Forwarding Messages Reading Messages – Double click on message in Inbox. Replying –Click on Reply or Reply to All buttons. Forwarding – Click on Forward button.

Creating Folders 1. Click File/Folder/New Folder. 2. In Create New Folder dialog box enter folder name then select where to place folder.

Distribution Lists 2. Click on New button down arrow. 3. Click on Distribution List. 1. Click on Contacts. 4. Click on Select Members button to add members to new list

Distribution Lists 4. Type in Name for List. Then click on Save and Close Click down arrow in Show Names from the: box to add members from various lists. Type name or select from List then click Add button. Click OK to save.

Creating Contacts 1. Click on New Contact icon. 2. Fill in all pertinent information. 3. Click Save and Close.

Sorting E-mails Importance - by level of importance. Flag –flagged for follow-up first. Attachment –that have attachments first. Sender –alphabetically by author, ascending or descending order. Subject –alphabetically by text in subject field. Received –by date received.

Creating a Calendar Entry 1. Click File/New/Appointment or click on New Appointment icon. 3. Click on Save and Close. 2. Fill in subject, location and other information.

Creating an Invitation 1. Click on File/New then Appointment or click on New Appointment icon.

Creating an Invitation 2. Click on Invite Attendees button to display To field. 3. Click on To button to open CareGroup Global Address List.

Creating an Invitation 4. Click OK to save. Invitees can be entered in Required, Optional, or Resources categories. Names can be selected from the Global Address List and Contacts.

Responding to an Invitation 2. Click Send. 1. Fill in the information regarding the meeting invitation. Invitations appear in Inbox. Double click to open. You can Accept, make Tentative, Decline or Forward. Double click on Calendar button to open calendar to check your availability. If you change date/time of meeting, Outlook will prompt you to send update to invitees.

Click on Add for each individual. Calendar Delegates 1. Click on Tools/Options then on Delegates tab. 2. Click on Add button to get Global Address List and select names of individuals to have access to your Outlook. 3. Click OK after all names are included. Click on Add for each individual.

Calendar Delegates 4. Click OK when done. Permissions can be customized and granted for each section of Outlook.

Changing Your Password Internet Explorer Address: line. 1. Click on Web E-mail. 2. Then select Outlook Web Application (OWA). Passwords are changed from the Intranet Home Page. The Intranet can be reached by typing http://intranet at the Address: line of Internet Explorer.

Changing Your Password 3. Type in your Log On name and click on click here or press the Enter key on your keyboard.

Changing Your Password 4. Type in your User Name and Password then click on OK. Type in your name and password at the logon screen.

Changing Your Password 5. Click on Options then Change Password.

Changing Your Password 6. Type in your identifying information- Account (Log On name) and Old password. Then type in a New Password and confirm it by re-typing it in the Confirm new password dialog box. Click on OK. Your password has now been changed. Remember to use your new password the next time you log on.
