SCAPA Highlights for FY 2016

SCAPA Events Over 400 attendees at the 2015 SCAPA Winter Conference Spring and Fall Member Dinners continue to grow in attendance Legislative Day—over 20 people participated; 50th Anniversary Resolution

Workforce Development Participated on Heavy/Highway Construction Workforce Task Group Meeting/Speaking opportunities at universities and technical colleges throughout SC SCAPA Internship Program SC Department of Corrections—asphalt paving training

Legislative Efforts Worked with SC FOR and Road Coalition to advocate for road funding Act 275 signed into law on June 8, 2016 $212M/year in redirected existing fees and other revenue to bond up to $2.2B Frees up additional revenue to amount to $4B for projects over next 10 years
