Techniques

Review of the five elements of achieving success: MORAL Methods (techniques), observation (or opportunities), resources, attitude (focus and positive thinking), and luck. So far we focus more the attitude. Let’s start to learn some techniques!

Some background knowledge: Different approaches in self-development (and success theory). Dale Carnegie Training. Success modeling (e.g. Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill, inspired by Andrew Carnegie) Law of attraction (Secrets; Science of Getting Rich) Learning through experience Neural-linguistic programming Mental techniques and covert influence (權謀手段)

Robotic or human response? Is it just a number game? You will be trapped into the number game if you keep making the same mistakes! Attract attention by doing something unexpected or even showing weakness. Good/bad cop (black/white face) technique Pacing and leading

Things which successful people will never tell you. Cheat in a legal way. People believe what they discover, not what you tell them. Story of my father’s friend.

Idol creation techniques: Fake stories (Chinese people are very good at this). Cold reading (Prepare answers to all kinds of situations) Show the heaven (and hell) Be the bridge

Covert influence techniques. Not persuasion, because you do not give your opponent any chance to think. This is done by subconscious communication. First, build rapport (posture/tone/breath mimicking). Second, attract the attention and bypass the critical mind (story telling, pacing and leading, overflow of message). Finally, give the command (embedded command and multiple sensory anchors).
