Form/Year Representatives Nominations September 2013

What’s in it for you? To represent the views of students in your form. To change or introduce ideas in school To benefit and enhance students school life To be part of a thriving, productive and enthusiastic student voice. Attend trips Rewards for complete projects Looks favourable on your CV when you apply for college, sixth form and university.

Form representatives Job Description Attend ALL meetings which you are required to do New staff interviews Run school projects- acting on the feedback which you get back from the students Feedback to your forms on the progress of your projects With your form tutor, organise a timetable for recycling monitors. Feedback to the student cabinet, verbally or via email, any comments or suggestions that your form have raised. You may also be asked to help lead year assemblies in conjunction with the student cabinet, the heads of school and Miss Edwards Be proud. Wear your badge!

Who’s interested…? What to do now… Write a statement- no more than 5 lines. Explain why you think you would make a good form representative. Your form tutor will read out the statements The remainder of the students will vote for their choice. Successful candidates will then be able to apply for the year representative role.

Good Luck!! Once the 2 form reps have been decided- preferably 1 boy and 1 girl, the names need to be emailed to Miss Edwards (c.edwards@marlborough.herts.sch.uk)

To be a YEAR rep Submit a 10 line (approx) statement which will explain what ideas you have that will enhance the life of your year group. This will need to be submitted to your head of year. These will be read out in assembly and a vote will be cast amongst all the students in year. Only the form reps can put them self forward for this. Heads of year will then email Miss Edwards the names of the newly appointed year reps.
