Hungary Europe’s Extremist Racists

Subject of the investigation: The investigation looking into investigating the rising of racism in Europe in connection with the refugee’s crisis. Scope of the investigation: Hungary will be used as the main case-study. Some other EU countries will be used for comparison.

Hypothesis 1: There is a strong relationship between the refugee’s crisis and the rise and spread of racism, Hungary's is important path to refugees and a starting point to understand the racism against refugees in Europe. There are statistics published by the European Union, which shows that eighty percent of those who are immigrants backgrounds do not know their rights, do not know that they have the right not to be discriminated. Hungary is a main stop for most of the refugees who are trying to cross Europe to reach to the destination countries such as Germany and Sweden. Rarely refugee or asylum seekers crossing to their final destinations, without going through Hungary. Studying the multiple attitudes and ways of how those countries were dealing with refugees and immigrants(Hungary-France-Germany-Finland –UK)

Hypothesis 2: The political leaderships in Europe explicitly declaring racism, and here we can spot the light on the transfer of racism to an active component of politics to gain power, and this indicates the high proportion of racists in Europe. They are now governing Europe. The proportions of right-wing and extreme right- wing parties, up to sixty per cent in European parliaments, are seen in Denmark and the Netherlands. Their strategy is in alliances that form governments and pressure their allied parties, so governments are increasingly turning to the right and the extreme right, Leftist parties and centrist parties are attracted and find themselves forced to follow their lead, so they influence the entire political spectrum in Europe. Statistics of How Far Is Europe Swinging to the Right?

Needs: Racism became a strong motivation of terrorism. In Sweden, 78% of Swedish, feel fear, and concern about the growing manifestations of racism in society on a large scale. According to an Institute of Social Studies (SOM) of Gothenburg University. This is the first time a survey has been conducted on the population's fears of racism and xenophobia, For example, more than 15 refugee’s camps in Sweden were completely burned down Racism is not long individual phenomenon, it became a social phenomenon. Europe is loosing its values when abandoning its principles of protecting the human rights In a study conducted by the Pew Research Center, Hungary is considered the most repulsive and most racist country against refugees. Where the Center conducted a number of questionnaires of opinion; the results were considered the Hungarian people, and compatible with the Prime Minister. 76% of Hungarians believe that the presence of refugees in their country will increase the incidence of terrorism in this country, and 82% believe that refugees represent a burden on the Hungarian economy .

Scope: Minimum level: Maximum level: Survey to understand how the audience see the connection between increasing of racism in Europe and the refugee crisis, also to understand how they would rate Hungary comparing to other European countries in term of racism. Maximum level: Interview with the general legal advisor of Civil Right Defender Organization. Interview with an officer from The Equality Ombudsman Organization.

Method: Will be looking for statistics, news an related articles. Analysis and interpreting different statements that helps in clarifying the hypothesizes of the investigation. The main focus will be the different information-situation from and on Hungary, and comparing other EU countries.

Presentation: News article. Charts and graphics comparing Hungary with other EU countries. Short movie connecting different statements and scenes on the racism in EU, and if possibly including a recorded interview. The intended audience: It will be targeting the EU media, and possibility the international media.
