4 Requirements for Graduation Receive 230 credits Must meet core academic areas Pass the CAHSEE Pass Algebra 1b Obtain 40 community service hours
Algebra 1b Usually done during Freshman year Progression to Geometry shows this is complete
Community Service Hours 40 hours are needed Can complete all in Freshman year!!!! Or split between 4 years Come to counseling office for hours turn-in sheet
California High School Exit Exam (CAHSEE) State requirement to receive high school diploma Non-passing score results in a “Certificate of Completion” Covers English and Math Need a minimum score of 350 in each subject to pass First taken in 10th grade If don’t pass first time, retake twice in 11th grade, 3 times in 12th grade
Credits!!!! 230 needed to graduate English - 4 years Social Sciences - 4 years Math - 3 years Science - 3 years PE - 2 years Performing Art/ Foreign Language - 1 year Electives - 12 semesters Includes anything beyond “core” subjects
