Vinit Gloves is one of the premier industrial glove manufacturers based out of Kolkata, India. Please note, India’s position of pre-eminence in the segment is established, with Kolkata being the center of the glove trade in India. This accords us with the necessary and obvious locational advantages of being in the very center of the manufacturing process.

Since our inception, we have only catered to discerning overseas buyers which has equipped us not only with the wherewithal to adhere to stringent quality control systems but also to ensure excellence in all possible fields. 75 million pairs of gloves that we have already exported to buyers in European countries is our biggest testimonial.

Factory Organisation Our factories - which are spread over 100,000 square feet in the leather tanning / manufacturing district of Kolkata currently has around 250 machines for different applications. The machines are of latest design and have been set up to cater to the needs of our existing customers as per their requirements, which ensure their efficacies. Both our Work Gloves factory and the Tannery are set up as per the laws of the land and comply with all requirements as prescribed by law. As these rules and regulations cover almost all aspects of safety and sustainability our products are backed by all the necessary certifications and compliant shields.

Certification We are also certified by SA 8000:2008 and are an ISO 9001:2008 certified entity which is self explanatory.

Tannery & Treatment We have an in-house tannery with all the necessary plants and processes in place. This tannery is located in the Kolkata Leather Complex which has state of the art effluent treatment facilities and adheres to strict industrial and environmental norms.

Chemicals & Testing Most of the chemicals that are used to treat the leather that goes into the production of Vinit Gloves are imported from Germany and other European nations. This is done to ensure, among various other measures, that the end product is strictly as per the global environmental norms. We follow a manufacturing process that is Chrome VI free – a process that ensures the non-formation of Chrome VI even after aging. This ensures that this critical chemical test is done on a regular basis in the natural course as opposed to being mere processes to be complied with.

Manpower We have a fully equipped and constantly manned by trained professionals testing laboratory within the tannery premises. Here, processed leather are tested on a regular basis so as to ensure the strictest compliance.

Training & Social Responsibility At Vinit we employ 650 skilled employees who are dedicated to ensure that we produce the best quality gloves. Because of our equal opportunity, zero-tolerance and no-discrimination policies we have an extremely low attrition rate. We also have, as our Social Responsibility efforts, put in place a system of training women from economically disadvantaged backgrounds who are absorbed in the workforce on the successful completion of their training.
