Financial Planning Association Pro Bono Services for underserved populations. Giving back to those in need. Financial Planning Association with the Foundation for Financial Planning (501C3) Financial Planning Association
Pro Bono History As an organization, the effort began with the 9/11 terrorist attacks when the Financial Planning Association (FPA) answered the call by establishing a Pro Bono outreach. Since 2001 the FPA & the Foundation for Financial Planning (FFP),a 501c3 charity, have worked together to promote pro bono planning to those in need. In 2013 FPA and FFP entered into a strategic partnership. FPA Chapters work with domestic violence shelters, homeless transition projects, and partnered with numerous community based organizations to give financial planning guidance to others. Working with Underserved Populations Underserved populations can be targeted by financial predators. We believe that the pro bono approach to offer no sales/no strings attached assistance to the underserved is the key underpinning that makes our outreach so successful and trusted.
