What have you done during your Mobility? Name: Guzal Abduraupova Mobility level: MSc Duration: 12 months from 27.08.2015 till 27.08.2016 Host university: Wageningen University of Research (The Netherlands) Home university: Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Melioration (Uzbekistan) What have you done during your Mobility? Wageningen UR was an ideal place for me to do my MSc because it builds on my long-time interest in implementing environmental assessment in practice and providing relevant strategic solutions to environmental issues. I passed all the exams, without any re-exams. Besides my studies I fully dedicated myself to partnership development and social movement as Fossil Free Wageningen. What did this experience mean to you (academically, personally, profesionaly, etc)? It has been interesting and adventures to do my MSc program both at Wageningen UR and at EcoGIS center of Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Melioration. At Wageningen UR I met very nice people, including professors and students. They were open, friendly and always ready to give suggestions regarding study progress. Moreover, I was glad to work in cooperation with other students from Uzbekistan. Their company made my days at Wageningen UR enjoyable and turned them into the best part of the study year. How would you describe the impact of your mobility at your home country? I actively participated in the celebration of International and Uzbek National Holidays and organized related events in the Netherlands. Also I was involved in promotional events at Wageningen UR. Surely now more people know about Uzbekistan, its culture, history, people, clothing and traditions. Moreover, I always have been and still give advices and recommendations to those who want to apply for the EM TIMUR project. Find a phrase that would describe your experience: “If you really want to do something, you'll find a way. If you don't, you'll find an excuse.”
