Presentation transcript:

Assessment Activities S1P2 Students will demonstrate effects of magnets on other magnets and other objects. a. Demonstrate how magnets attract and repel. Limited or Minimum Progress toward achievement of standard (1) Student is not able to demonstrate how magnets attract and repel. Progressing toward achievement of standard (2) Student inconsistently demonstrates how magnets attract or repel. Consistently and independently achieves the standard (3) Student consistently and independently demonstrates how magnets attract and repel. Assessment Activities In science journals, have students record observations about two magnets that attract and repel. Ask students to manipulate 2 magnets to make them attract and then repel. Instructional Notes: Students should know: magnets can be used to make things move without being touched. magnets attract and repel other magnets. magnets can attract other objects.
