Why is Jesus’ birth so Important? If there was no birth there would be no Easter to celebrate. Why Is Jesus’ Birth So Important - Because of WHO came at Christmas. Why Is Jesus’ Birth So Important - Because of HOW He came. Why Is Jesus’ Birth So Important - Because of WHO HE CAME TO. Why Is Jesus’ Birth So Important - Because of WHY He came.

About 2000 years ago, God became a man and came to earth. Colossians 1:15-16 - “Christ is the exact likeness of the unseen God. He existed before God made anything at all. In fact, Christ Himself is the creator who made everything in heaven and in earth.”

If He wasn’t (God) then He was a con man and a liar Or He was a lunatic and didn’t know what He was talking about. I cannot be a good man and a good teacher and claim that I am God at the same time. That doesn’t make sense. UNLESS IT IS TRUE!!!

John 10:30 "I and the Father are one John 10:30 "I and the Father are one." Another version translates it… “We are the same, the Father and the Son. He is in Me and I am in Him.”

how He came. God became a man. He became like one of us how He came. God became a man. He became like one of us. He became a human being. Phil 2:5-8 - Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus: Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, but made himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient to death—even death on a cross! NIV

Because God was sending Jesus Christ to save us, not to scare us. Dan 10:4-9 - So I was left alone and saw this great vision; yet no strength was left in me, for my natural color turned to a deathly pallor, and I retained no strength. But I heard the sound of his words; and as soon as I heard the sound of his words, I fell into a deep sleep on my face, with my face to the ground. When he recovered from his faint…Be not afraid!

WHY IS JESUS’ BIRTH SO IMPORTANT WHY IS JESUS’ BIRTH SO IMPORTANT? WHEN GOD CAME TO EARTH, HE CAME TO ORDINARY PEOPLE!!!

John 1:14 - And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth.

The Message translation: “Jesus became flesh and blood and moved into the neighborhood.”

Why Is Jesus’ Birth So Important? WHY JESUS CAME. John 18:37 “Jesus said, `I was born for this purpose. I came to bring truth to the world.’” John 10:10 Jesus said, “I came to give you life, life in all its fullness.” John 12:47 Jesus said, … I did not come to judge the world, but to save it. Look at that—Truth, life, forgiveness – That was Jesus Christ’s Christmas gift to us all. That’s why He came.

JESUS CAME TO SAVE US So let’s listen to him about what we need to do to be saved. Romans 3:23 – “all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.” John 1:29 - "Behold, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!” John 8:24 - "Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for unless you believe that I am He, you will die in your sins."

Luke 13:3 - "I tell you, no, but unless you repent, you will all likewise perish.” Matthew 10:32-33 - "Therefore everyone who confesses Me before men, I will also confess him before My Father who is in heaven. 33 "But whoever denies Me before men, I will also deny him before My Father who is in heaven. Mark 16:16 (GW) 16 Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. Matthew 28:18-20 - 18 And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age."

TRANSLITERATED NOT TRANSLATED BAPTISMA WAS transliterated AS BAPTISM – AND MEN GAVE THE WORD WHATEVER MEANING THAT THEY WANTED. BAPTISM (immersion) became “Sprinkling” (raino or rahntidz0), “Pouring” (excheo). Then the belief that babies were born in sin and needed to be “baptized” to have their sins washed away became popular and sprinkling and pouring were adopted. (Jesus said we must believe, repent, and confess before we could be “immersed” or baptized.) There is no example, command or inference for infant baptism in the Bible.

Ephesians 4:4-6 (NASB) 4 There is one body and one Spirit, just as also you were called in one hope of your calling; 5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism, 6 one God and Father of all who is over all and through all and in all.

Mark 7:6-9 (NASB) - 6 And He said to them, "Rightly did Isaiah prophesy of you hypocrites, as it is written: 'THIS PEOPLE HONORS ME WITH THEIR LIPS, BUT THEIR HEART IS FAR AWAY FROM ME. 7 'BUT IN VAIN DO THEY WORSHIP ME, TEACHING AS DOCTRINES THE PRECEPTS OF MEN.' 8 "Neglecting the commandment of God, you hold to the tradition of men." 9 He was also saying to them, "You are experts at setting aside the commandment of God in order to keep your tradition.

IN VAIN producing no result; useless. "a vain attempt to tidy up the room" synonyms: futile, useless, pointless, to no purpose, hopeless, in vain; ineffective, ineffectual, inefficacious, impotent, unavailing, to no avail, fruitless, profitless, unrewarding, unproductive, unsuccessful, failed, abortive, for nothing; thwarted, frustrated, foiled; "a vain attempt"

We must obey God; not man; not man’s traditions, not man’s opinions.

We must be saved by obeying Jesus’ commandments We must be saved by obeying Jesus’ commandments. This is what he told us we must do to be saved.
