Middle Section Write about the changes in their relationship during Act 2 Think about Ivan being blackmailed into looking after her, the pressure he is then under, his lack of complaining and how he hears stories from the past

Middle Section Write about their relationship at the end Think about Ivan being upset that she might die, he doesn’t believe the Doctor, he learns about how Gran feels, being old

Conclusion What has Ivan learned from his Gran? What have you learned from reading this play?

Using Quotations Once you have made a comment include a quotation from the play to support your view Some quotes can be included in a sentence using quotation marks ( “” ) to highlight them Otherwise, introduce it using a colon ( : ) and write it on a new line. When quoting from a play like this don’t use quotation marks but put the speaker’s name at the left side. For example: Ivan: She’s not dying!
