Spring Ridge watch d.o.g.s.

background information The program began in 1998, and has brought thousands of fathers and father figures into schools across the country. It was recognized by congress in 2000 as “a great tool in our efforts to prevent school violence and improve student performance because it can increase parental initiative and involvement in their children’s education.”

Watch D.O.G.S. are Dads of Great Students! What are Watch D.O.G.S.? Watch D.O.G.S. are Dads of Great Students! The Watch D.O.G.S. program is an educational initiative of the National Center for Fathering. The two primary goals of the program are: To provide positive male role models who, by their very presence, show a respect for the importance of education. To enhance school security and reduce bullying.

A win-win-win situation The three winners are: Children of the D.O.G.S. and other children at our school love spending time with all the dads. The children feel important and thrive on the extra attention dads give to them. Dads get an inside look into their children’s school day. Teachers appreciate the support dads give to all of the students at Spring Ridge!

Our goal for your daY You’ll help out during lunch/recess, special class, and one content area with your child/children.
