Friday is a special day for us Friday is a special day for us. It starts like a normal day, we go to school, finish our classes, do extra activities and then we enjoy the rest of the day...
Family life Family is highly valued and the average family has two children. People spend a lot of time visiting and entertaining. In both rural and urban areas, there are children who are cared for by relatives or child-care facilities. Children have to take responsibility for their parents when they grow old. The Serbs are openly emotional and rarely private. They value family, country and honesty. Many teens play video games, go to their local restaurant to meet friends, and go to the cinema. Soccer is very popular, along with basketball, volleyball, swimming and skiing. Young people begin dating around the age of 16 or 17. Sometimes, teenagers misbehave, they argue with people around them and they don’t appreciate the generosity of their parents. Usually, the reason for that misconduct is too many hours spent in front of the computer. During the holidays, many families go to the village to visit their grandparents, but also, many families go to the mountains or the seaside.
Hobbies A list of hobbies in our country is long. We do all kinds of sports: football, basketball, volleyball, swimming, dancing... Nowadays, tennis is popular. In summer, we are used to spending a lot of time outside, playing in the park or in the neighborhood. In winter, we go skiing and snowboarding in the nearby mountains, Zlatibor and Kopaonik. Our national dance is the kolo, so, many children are engaged in folk dancing. Also, children from Serbia are very musical. We play different music instrument and form bands.
