Amendments to N.J.A.C. 6A:5 Regulatory Equivalency and Waiver

Purpose of the Chapter Provide regulatory flexibility to school districts to meet the requirements of the rules contained in Administrative Code.

Highlights of Amendments Amendments specifically address the equivalency and waiver processes: Include charter schools in the list of entities covered by the chapter. Require at least an annual review of all equivalencies and waivers granted to determine if code revisions should be proposed. Charter Schools was always intended to be covered via the reference to public schools. Ensure that a review is conducted at least annually of all requests to make amendments if necessary.
