Improving Transboundary agri-business ENGAGEMENT for RESPONSIBLE land governance in CLMV COUNTRIES – TBRB Project

TBRB Project Overview Objective: to promote responsible principle and practices through facilitating dialogue and peer to peer learning between agri-businesses to promote responsible land governance across the Mekong region (CLMV) Target: Companies doing business in agriculture in Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, Myanmar, Thailand and Chinese companies investing in those countries Duration: Phase I: December 2015 – November 2016 Phase II: December 2016 – March 2018 Funding: Mekong Regional Land Governance Project (SDC, Lux and GIZ) + Oxfam (OHK and ONL)

What we do A. Conducting a self assessment and baseline Awareness Indicator (example) Public reference Score Comments Know and Show Investigate and disclose risks to and impacts on women and communities related to land through credible and relevant impact assessments, with the full participation of affected communities A Commit Adherence to the principle of Free, Prior, and Informed Consent (FPIC) in the operations of the company, its subsidiaries, and its suppliers B Advocate D Action Publish a detailed, time-bound, multi-year action plan for how the company will implement - and report on implementation - of its land-related commitments E
