WHAT IS RADON? It is a natural radioactive gas that you cannot see, smell or taste. Radon enters buildings by seeping in through cracks in foundations, pipes and windows.

Levels of radon vary from house to house. High levels of radon buildup is the 2nd leading cause of lung cancer in Canada. Second only to smoking. Levels of radon vary from house to house.

WHAT CAN I DO? Radon test kits are available at Home Depot and Home Hardware stores across Canada for around $30. It is important to purchase a long-term test kit that stays in your home for at least 3 months. The purchase price should include shipping and laboratory fees to analyze the results.
