Numbered Heads Together A Cooperative Learning Strategy

Purpose To check for understanding and review To create active involvement To create interaction among students To help master basic facts and information

Structure Students number off Teacher announces a question and a time limit Students put their heads together Teacher calls a number

Fishbowl Teacher models the activity to the class. Tell the students to appoint a ‘Checker’ who will make sure that everyone knows the answer.
