Components of a graph

Graphs must have titles as well as labels and units on both axes. LABEL , unit TITLE © Council for Economic Education

Graphs must have an origin and scale. 0 1 2 3 4 5 6 2 4 6 8 10 LABEL TITLE origin © Council for Economic Education

Misleading Graphs © Council for Economic Education

When may a graph be misleading? When there is not enough information: The graph does not have a title and/or any of the axes are not labelled and/or no units are present. Scale The scale is too small or large to fit the data. The scale does not have regular intervals . The intervals are not equal but are shown as equal. © Council for Economic Education
