Geocaching . Started in May 2000 ‘Geo” means “earth/geography” “Cache” means “container” As of August 2007 there were 444656 caches worldwide! Free- you don’t have to have a GPS receiver, but it sure does help!
How Geocaching Works . Geocacher searches by zipcode for caches in a certain area (or city or state or latitude and longitude) www.geocaching.com Uses the GPS receiver to locate the cache Open cache, sign logbook, trade items if you want to Replace cache as it was found Log find on the website
