Udaipur Smart City SUMMARY OF PROGRESS Development of all main roads under ABD area as smart roads An Integrated Tender Document is being prepared to cater to the following components – Water Supply, Sewerage, Electrical, Utility Ducting and Smart Roads. It will cater to all the ducting needs as also the Smart Components related to the development of Roads – Wi-Fi Solutions, Smart Lighting System, Smart City Surveillance, Smart Parking Solutions, Smart Transport Management System, Pedestrianization etc. A detailed overview with respect to the same can be had in the Slides 3-5 However, the space requirements of Tender SURE restricts its application, in entirety, to ROW having width 21 meters or more. In the walled city; lane width / ROW varies from 12 m to 3 m (as per reconnaissance survey done in 3rd week of August 2016) at majority of the places and therefore effecting Tender SURE guidelines, in entirety, feasibility seems difficult in the walled city area. B. Redevelopment of street and junctions for which designs have already been prepared USCL and Nagar Nigam jointly started the junction improvement work with the technical assistance of ICLIE, Smart City Partner of Udaipur for Surajpol Junction. Junction redesigning and planning has been done by ICLIE and the detail modal was discussed with transport, police and local administration and practical demonstration successfully implemented with the help of traffic police. USCL has gone ahead with the implementation of the same. Currently work is underway for the Landscape design finalization for Suraj Pol so that Tender can be floated. Plan is underway for implementation for 2 more junctions – Delhi Gate and Hathi Pol
