Khilafat day presentation May, 2016

Hold Fast to rope of Allah And hold fast, all together, by the rope of Allah and be not divided; and remember the favor of Allah which He bestowed upon you when you were enemies and He united your hearts in love, so that by His grace you became as brothers; and you were on the brink of a pit of fire and He saved you from it. Thus does Allah explain to you His commandments that you may be guided. Ch 3 V 104

Hadith "Prophet hood shall remain among you as long as Allah shall will. He will bring about its end and follow it with Khilafat on the precepts of prophet hood for as long as He shall will and then bring about its end. A tyrannical monarchy will then follow and will remain as long as Allah shall will and then come to an end. There will follow thereafter monarchial despotism to last as long as Allah shall will and come to an end upon His decree. There will then emerge Khilafat on precept of Prophet hood." The Holy Prophet (sa) said no more (Masnad Ahmad bin Hanbal)

Importance of Khilafat Holy prophet (sa) has said “If you see the Caliph of God on this earth, gather around him even though your bodies be torn and tortured and you be disposed of your properties” Masnad Ahmad bin Hanbal Pg 403

Unity without Khalifa ? Can unity be achieved without Khilafat ? What is the conditions of Muslim Umma without Khalifa ? Please share your thoughts

Adam of later days The first Adam has been thrown out of garden of Eden, but the Adam that has been now sent by Allah has the mission to lead men to garden of Eden. The first Joseph was put to prison but the second Joseph has come to retrieve men from spiritual bondage, from among the early Caliphs, Usman and Ali (ra) were subjected to torment and murder, but I hope and believe that Caliphs of promised Messiah (as) will escape this type of misfortune and all their enemies shall fail in their evil design. He further added the following glad tidings “The tree of Ahmadiyyat will continue to grow so that its branches shall reach the high heavens and this same tree will become a spiritual link between the earth and the heavens exactly as it was linked during the ministry of Holy Prophet (sa) Khalifatul Masih 2nd (ra) Al- Fazl 10-27-1950 Reference from progress of Ahmadiyyat by Dost Mohammad Shahid sahib pg 9

Role of Khilafat The issue of Khilafat is not a complex one. In my speech on 12th April, 1914, I had explained with reference to a verse from the Holy Quran what the function of a Khalifa is. The word Khalifa means someone who succeeds another and continues the work of his predecessor. 1)who succeeds someone 2. who is succeeded by someone 3. who issues commands and orders and gets them executed. Blessing of Khilafat by Khalifatul Masih 2nd (ra) Pg 9 and 13

Spiritual link Can spiritual link be created without Khilafat or following Promised Messiah (as) in these later days ? Please share your thoughts

Blessed is company of Khalifa I am suffering from a cough and my voice has grown weak. I request that everyone should keep sitting patiently. Even if my voice does not reach all of you, the reward will definitely be given to all who are present here. People hear many things, but may not necessarily be influenced by what they hear. Yet they share the blessings of the place where they are sitting. What it comes down to is that it is not necessary that a listener of good words should always be guided. But it has also been observed that a person can receive guidance merely by visiting a holy place without really being involved in any discussion. Therefore, even if my voice fails to reach everyone, Allah will surely bless you with guidance in view of your sincerity and steadfastness, if you remain seated. Blessing of Khilafat by Khalifatul Masih 2nd (ra) pg 2

Kissing the hand of Khalifa Some people extend their hands to touch my knees and feet. They do so with fervor of love and devotion and not with the intent of idolatry; yet, such practices can lead to idolatry. A reference has been made to this effect in the Bukhari where Ibn Abbas ra relates that the idols of the people of Noah that are mentioned in the Holy Quran are in fact the names of the elders of the infidels. Their successors desired that memorials be set up in the memory for their elders, so that people remember them and follow their examples. For this purpose, they erected their statues. But when the later generations observed their forefathers paying respects to these statues, they started to revere them even more than their forefathers. In time, the statues garnered even more reverence. Consequently, a time came when people started prostrating before the statues, forgetting the real station of those elders, and instead making them partners with God. In short, some immoral acts seem minor and harmless in the beginning, but can lead to lasting and irreversible damage. Blessing of Khilafat, by Khalifatul Masih 2nd (ra) Pg 4

Respect for Khilafat My own nature and disposition is such that I do not like that people should kiss my hands. People used to kiss the hands of the Promised Messiah as and he did not forbid them. From this, I understood that this could be allowed. But, I failed to reason this out. Then I saw people kissing the hands of Khalifatul-Masih Ira about whom the Promised Messiah as has said, ‘He walks in step with me’. He was my tutor as well as Khalifatul-Masih. To me, his action constituted a decisive verdict in itself. But I got full satisfaction, and an undeniable argument, when I learned that the companions of the Holy Prophet sa used to kiss his hands and take them to their eyes. Now, although I do not stop those who kiss my hands, I do get embarrassed when I see them doing so. And the only reason why I do not forbid them from doing this is that they do it merely out of their fervor of love and fidelity. In any case, these things should not exceed due limits, for then they may take the semblance of idolatry. Blessing of Khilafat by Khalifatul Masih 2nd (ra) Pg 5

Our spiritual father Generally speaking, is there any difference between you and those who have turned away from Khilafat? There seems to be no difference. Yet, you should remember that there is one big difference! And that is that: You have someone who has true sympathy for you; who truly loves you; who considers your pain and sufferings to be his own; and who is always praying to Allah for you. The group opposed to us have no one to do this on their behalf. You have someone who is always anxious for your well-being, who puts himself into trouble for your sake, and who prays restlessly before his Lord for the sake of your comfort and peace. But they have none who can ever do this on their behalf Blessing of Khilafat by Khalifatul Masih 2nd (ra) pg 6

How Lucky How many of us pray for someone else more than of our own? How lucky are we that we have Khalifa who cares so much for us and we can write to him for prayers. Please share your thoughts and experiences. Would you consider being in the company of our Khalifa if we are listening to him on MTA live ? Please share your thoughts

Allah had promised to those among you who believe and do good works that He will surely make them Successors in the earth, as He made Successors from among those who were before them; and that He will surely establish for them their religion which He has chosen for them; and that He will surely give them in exchange security and peace after their fear: They will worship Me, and they will not associate anything with Me. Then who so is ungrateful after that, they will be the rebellious. Ch 24 V 56

No solidarity without Khilafat The words, "Whosoever is ungrateful after that, they will be the rebellious," signify that Khilafat is a great Divine blessing. Without it there can be no solidarity, cohesion and unity among Muslims and therefore they can make no real progress without it. If Muslims do not show proper appreciation of Khilafat by giving unstinted support and obedience to their Khalifa they will forfeit this great Divine boon and in addition will draw the displeasure of God upon themselves. (The Holy Quran with English Translation and Commentary, Vol. 4, pp. 1869-1870.)
