To contribute to the development and maintenance of immunization registries. To advocate for immunization registries through legislation, policy development and public information. To build stronger partnerships with and between public and private registries, vendors, providers and federal agencies. Work Group Goals Work group identified the goals of: documenting the IIS community consensus for data elements and definitions Supporting interoperability efforts to communicate between systems Supporting agreed upon definitions for data elements and code sets to allow cross-registry analysis Support maintenance of HL7 Implementation Guide Coordinate with Messaging and Transport layer groups

Outcome Created a spreadsheet Data elements with definitions Code sets with definitions Developing a process for keeping this up to date Coordinate with the other committees

How do you add a code or value? The AIRA website has a link to request new or changed codes The Data Definition work group will review each request The Steering committee will prioritize AIRA will coordinate with external organizations like HL7 organization
