New Member Orientation Dues - The Barbershop Harmony Society is a non-profit organization. Dues fund the operations, programs, and events sponsored by the organization. Each member is required to pay chapter, district, and Society dues. Chapter dues are determined each year by the chapter board of officers. Chapter dues pay for administrative costs associated with running the chapter. Such costs may be meeting rental space, office supplies, chapter materials, etc. Question: What are the chapter dues? New Member Orientation District Dues -The district House of Delegates determines district dues. District dues are used for purposes similar to chapter dues but also cover the costs of supporting a district board of officers, and district sponsored events for chapter members. New Member Orientation Society Dues - These dues fund the operations of the Barbershop Harmony Society Board of Directors, chapter resources and materials, the Harmonizer Magazine, leadership and education programs, district and chapter support materials, maintenance of the Society’s Headquarters office, award programs, and Society events.
