Solubility Curves
A solubility curve shows you the solubility of a substance at a particular temperature. www.sci-journal.org
The solubility of solids increases with increasing temperature.
Solubility depends on the solute, the solvent, and the temperature.
How many grams of sugar would dissolve in 100g of water at 35°C? At what temperature is the solubility of sugar 150g per 100g of water? If we cooled that solution to 35°C, how much sugar would crystallize out? If you heated 100g of water to 65°C, how much sugar could you dissolve in it? How much sugar do you think you could dissolve in 50g of water at 25°C?
