The International Practicum Project The International Practium is a innovative program designed to provide qualified training and stage opportunities to Italian, UK masters’ degree students with the aim to educate to entrepreneurship and to help students to develop management skills in an international context Target students involved in the Project: 18 foreign students are selected from Business School, Liverpool John Moores University (UK) 8 Italian students will be selected from those attending the I and II year of the Master Degree in Global Entrepreneurship and Management (both Curriculum in International Business and Economics of Innovation) 4 students from Georgia, 2 form BSU and 2 form State University

The Program also promotes the internationalization of selected enterprises located in the Lombardy Region by giving them the opportunity to build partnerships and to exploit business opportunities with foreign enterprises located in England 2 Italian company are selected to participate in the Programme Each company will host a joint team composed by English/Italian/Georgian students according to the internationalization focus of the firm Each team will be composed of 2 Italian students and 3/4 foreign students. Each joint team will develop sector analysis, business plans, marketing plans, commercial strategies to support the firm’s internationalization in the UK market (according to the need of the firms involved in the Project)

Selection Criteria For Italian students, selection criteria will include: attending the I and II year of the Master Degree in Global Entrepreneurship and Management (both Curriculum in International Business and Economics of Innovation) academic achievements, based on the average of academic grades English skills motivations and attitude both to entrepreneurship and team working

Project Phases I At the beginning of the project we’ll make a skype meeting with the student of the Liverpool University and Georgian University (if they are not in Italy) and the manager of the companies the selected Italian students will meet the 2 selected local enterprises and start to collect data/information needed to assess the firm’s current issues of international business cooperation; all information with be shared with foreign colleagues of each joint team by e-mail, conference call, e-learning platform in order to planning the activities At the same time, Liverpool Universities will collect information in their country

Project Phases II In may, 2016 foreign students will do 2 weeks’ internship at the Department of Economics of the University of Insubria (Italy) that includes attending classes, seminars and workshops as well as promoting Italian local companies’ business opportunities in the UK markets in terms of collaborative team work with Italian students to develop the internationalization strategy for the selected Italian companies.

Project Phases III Project outputs of the joint teams will be presented at the Final Workshops organized in the University of Insubria at the end of the year 2017 (videoconference) The International Students’ Competition for the Best Internationalization Business Solution will highlight the end of the project. The proposals of the joint teams will be assessed by the Evaluation Committee composed by the top management of the selected Italian enterprises as well as University academia.
