This is a map of Italy. Highlighted green, Padova is in the northeast part of Italy.  Down here is an image of what Padova, Italy looks like at night.. 

About Padova, Italy Padova, Italy is also known as Padua in English. Right now, the population of Padua, Italy is 213,594 people living in there now. It covers 35.85 square miles of Italy. Italy claims to be the oldest city in northern Italy and West of Venice by 26 miles, East of Verona by 50 miles, East of Vicenza by 20 miles and also East of Milan by 145 miles. It is also a walled city situated along the Bachiglione River between Verona and Venice.

Places to visit and things to do in Padua(Padova), Italy Places people go to when they go visit Padua, Italy is the Cathedral because of the frescos made by an Italian artist named Giotto which we can talk about later. Tourists are also attracted to the most popular museum in Padua which is the Fondazione Bano Palazzo Zabarella. In there is a lot of paintings from famous artists. If you like to see gardens that are so pretty, then you can go to the Botanical Garden of Padua. People also go visit the University of Padua and the Cathedral in Padua.

University of Padua The University of Padua is one the OLDEST universities in the whole entire world! It was built in 1222. Right now it would be 791 years old and that’s a LONG time! In Italian it would be la Universita Delgi Studi Di Padova. One of the famous teacher there named Galileo Galilei. In 1399, the university was split into two different schools. One part was for arts and medicine and the other one was law. They were not reunited until the early 19th century.

Giotto Di Bondone Giotto Di Bondone was born in July, 1267 in Florence, Italy. He died on January 8, 1337 when he was 70 years old. Right now he would be 746 years old. He was an Italian artist and an architect. He was known for his frescos in the Cathedral in Padua, Italy. He also had most of his master- -pieces at the Scrovegni Chapel also known as the Cappalla Delgi Scrovegni in Italian.

The Botanical Garden The Botanical Garden was founded in 1545 after the deliberation of the Senate of the Venetian Republic. It is the world’s old- -est academic garden that has been pre- serving throughout the centuries of its original location and had some modifications at the beginning of the 18th century.
