The monuments of Paris I'm going to present you the monuments of Paris because they are very beautiful and the biggest of France !

The Eiffel Tower The Eiffel Tower is 312m high and weighs 10 000 tons. Gustave Eiffel built the Eiffel Tower in 1889 for the Universal Exposition. He built the Statue de la Liberté too The Eiffel Tower is the famous monument of Paris. There are 6 930 000 visitors for see this monument in one year You should go to this monument because it is the biggest of france and of Paris

The Sacré Coeur There is a basilica in the Sacré Cœur. It was completed in 1914. It is 112 meters high. It is at the top of a hill called 'La Butte Montmartre' (= 'the hill of the martyrs') It is the most visited monument in Paris with Notre Dame . The entrance is free.

Notre Dame de Paris Notre Dame De Paris is a cathedral, the biggest of Paris The cathedral measures 127m, the towers 48m and the arrow are 96m high. Many famous people are buried her. There are about 30 000 people who go to see Notre Dame De Paris everyday.

Arc de Triomphe The Arc de Triomphe is the most beautiful monument at night. You should take photos if one day you visit Paris It is 50m high. There are over one million visitors every year. They started the contruction on 15th august 1806 and it opened in 1806 ! The constructor is Jean-François Chalgrin. He started the construction on 26th February 1806 There are the 'Tombe Du Soldat Inconnu' that is to say the place where an unknown soldier was buried, after WWI. There is a flame all the time. There are national celbrations there every year on Novemeber 11th, Remembrance Day.

Montparnasse Tower It is 210m high and there are 59 floors! The tower opened in 1972 so it is a recent monument. For twenty years it was the highest skyscaper in Europe. You should go up in the tower because you have a beautiful view from the top!

The Panthéon The Panthéon is very important for the history because Victor Hugo and Voltaire (french writers) were buried there. Victor Hugo was a famous poet and Voltaire was a writer who wrote pamphlets against the national leaders. It measures 83m.

The Palais de l'Elysée It's the biggest palace of France and the French President lives there. It opened in 1722. If you want you can visit the garden and eat on with four family
