Reading & Language Arts Mrs. Stindtman’s Fabulous 1st Grade News Reading & Language Arts Our Learning: MATH Math: We started pretty slow this week-which was mainly review. We practiced writing our numbers 0-9, simple addition stories, and reviewed some shapes. We did get on IXL and practice some new and old topics. The kiddos loved this  Next week we will start Topic 1 which is adding and subtracting.. I will be sending home IXL login info next week so your child can practice at home. Reading: We did a lot of review in reading as well. Our focus was on the vowels and consonants: a, c, t, s, m, d, p, n. and their beginning, middle, and ending sounds. Next week we will start our first story, “What is a Pal?” We have been learning to read and write these sight words: are, go, I, like, see, we. Our spelling words for next week are: am, at, sat, man, dad, mat.
