Early Dismissal at 1:30! 3/24: Family Fun Night at 7:00 *If you have not yet sent in your Zoo Trip permission slip and/or $17, please do so ASAP! We are ordering tickets this week and need to make sure we have an accurate head count. Thank you!  Reading: We will work with compound words. We will also read from Caterpillar to Butterfly. We will read about butterflies through shared readings of poems. We will continue to work in our centers on raz-kids. Please encourage your child to use this at home. Writing: This week we will continue opinion writing We will work on writing opinions on different topics. Math: This week we will have our Unit 6 assessment on Tuesday! We will then begin working in Unit 7. In Unit 7, we will be working with open response questions and writing our answers, reviewing of math facts and skills and explorations. We will continue to work with basic facts on xtramath.com. Encourage your child to use this at home. Fundations/Spelling: This week we will continue working in Unit 12. We will be practicing reading and writing words with more than one syllable. We will break down the words into parts and practice marking these words. We will take a spelling test on Friday with these types of words. . ! Notes & Reminders Tip of the Week! Math- Keep practicing counting coins at home. Get real money out and have your child practice counting the change. Remember to practice counting by 25s too! Reading- Have fun with reading by using flashlights. Children love to read this way. We are learning compound words this week. Find some while reading at night! Specials Important Note: Please have your child log on to Raz-Kids at home. It is great for them to practice reading on those on-level texts.
