Introduction www.edsn.org Education for Development and Support Network Foundation (EDSN) explores affordances of digital technologies with entrepreneurial philanthropy in Shared Interest digital Communities (SIC) of autonomous individuals. Helps self-help SICs to access appropriate capacity for partnerships and opportunities emerging technologies afford while managing side effects and responsibilities these technologies bring.

Competing Interests www.edsn.org In the wake of the following trends: (1) Reduced government (2) Need for transparent marshaling of competing self-interest interests (3) and rapid changes in the global economy. EDSN coordinates enabling financial, sociocultural, and technical scaffoldings to fill important gaps in community economic development that SICs view as important, in ways governments, businesses and traditional civic-institutions can’t afford or unwilling to provide.
