Leave Policy Ver 1.1 2014

Scope Leave policy applies to all permanent Equalstar employees. All permanent employees are eligible for holiday entitlements Holiday entitlements that accrue are not applicable for LWOP (Leave without pay) Holiday occurring immediately after LWOP will also considered as LWOP

Types of Leave Earned Leave Leave without pay Flexi leave Sick leave Maternity leave Compensatory leave Leave during probation

Earned Leave All EQS employees who have completed 6 months of continued service are eligible for earned leave

Earned Leave Accrual Earned leave will be credited on a monthly basis Leave accrual based on your service at EQS Up to 3 years 12 days / year More than 3 years 15 days / year In case of a genuine urgency, earned leave can be taken in advance after approval

Earned Leave contd.. Maximum accumulation Leave encashment Maximum earned leave that can be accumulated is 30 Leaves above 30 in a year will lapse Leave encashment No EQS employee will receive pay encashment except at the time of separation. In case of insufficient notice period, amount can be adjusted against accrued vacation.

Earned Leave contd.. Vacation accrual during leave Vacation Scheduling There will be no accruals during unpaid leave Vacation Scheduling Vacation must be planned in such a way that it will not affect the work the employee is responsible for Approval All vacation requests must be approved in advance Leave during Notice period Earned leaves cannot be availed during Notice period, but sick and flexi leaves can be availed.

Leave without pay (LWOP) In case of contingency, if employee does not have any leave to his/her credit can avail leave after approval. This will be treated as Leave without pay. Leave without approval will be treated as LWOP.

Sick Leave Leave available as paid sickness leaves 6 days a year Cannot be carried over to next calendar year Cannot be encashed In case of longer sickness, employee can utilize earned leave after approval Medical certificate is required for Sick leave exceeding 3 days

Flexi Leave All EQS employees eligible for 2 days flexi leaves during a calendar year Cannot be carried forward Cannot be combined with EL or SL There are no half day leaves for Flexi leaves

Maternity Leave EQS employees proceeding on Maternity leave will be granted 90 days leave with full pay Inclusive of Saturday, Sunday and other holidays In case of extension, employee can avail earned leave with prior approval Maternity benefit is applicable of employee who worked for 80 days within the 12 months prior to expected delivery date Incase of additional leave required due to illness etc, LWOP can be availed for maximum 3 months, by producing Medical certificate

Compensatory Leave EQS employees who had to work for 8 hours on a non-working day may/may not be entitled to compensatory off, subject to approval. This is purely an incentive provided to the employee for the extra efforts to meet the project objectives. Decided by supervisor

Half Day Leaves Half day leaves are allowed on a case to case basis Will be deducted from Earned Leaves Only 4 half day leaves are allowed in a year There are no half day leaves for Sick or Flexi leaves

Leave during probation EQS employees on six months probation are eligible for only 2 days sick leave and 2 days flexi leave Other leaves will be treated as LWOP Leave taken during probation in excess of the eligible leave shall extend the probation period by such number of leave

Taking Leave Must get approval and also inform your lead Must enter the leaves promptly in the leave register. Must enter type of leave
