In terms of impact, Digital Transformation can be considered the next industrial revolution, providing the catalyst for new business models, products, services and experiences that impact not only businesses but society overall. • Deeper focus on investing in capacity building of youth-serving organizations • Greater clarity on the societal impact of our investments, connected to our aspirations and strategies • More emphasis on how we connect our work back to the business priorities in local markets • Increased storytelling that demonstrates all aspects of this work at a local, regional, national and/or global level Microsoft has a long history of supporting STEM education with a focus on the “T” for technology. Historically, our work has had a primary focus on closing the “digital divide”—helping students, educators, and young adults gain the basic digital literacy and learning skills required in today’s information-centric world. Through YouthSpark and earlier programs, millions of students and youth have become far more IT proficient and work-ready.

Equip All Youth to be Future Ready •Strategy #1: Build the capacity of youth-serving organizations to provide youth with in-demand digital skills with a priority focus on underserved communities. •Strategy #2: Bring digital skills to every young person through long-term systemic change •Strategy #3: Generate demand, build understanding, excitement, and awareness Digital Skills By creating the opportunity for all youth to build digital skills, from digital literacy to computer science (CS), we’re enabling youth to build the in-demand hard skill to use technology as well as the increasingly important cognitive skills that computer science education helps build such as critical thinking, problem-solving and computational thinking. By expanding opportunities for young people to access CS education, we will help individuals, governments, and societies address unmet educational and economic development needs while simultaneously supporting our talent and business objectives. Equip All Youth to be Future Ready
