Expense Reporting Issues to overcome: Solutions: Needs to be straight forward and quick to complete. Needs to be able to be completed by staff not on site. Personnel dealing with expense claims don’t have frequent use of REDCap. Solutions: Use a public survey (no need to log in and can be completed anywhere). Use REDCap’s built in email function to send itemised summaries. Include a link to the individual record in the email (limits navigation in REDCap). [MRINZ]
Expense form Nothing fancy. Just a simple survey with sections for 10 reimbursable items. Each new section appears once the previous one has been completed. Each section includes an upload field for a copy of the receipt. [MRINZ]
Hook Utilises Andy Martins hook framework. Uses PHP to send obtain data from survey, dynamically create table rows and send the email. Uses HTML to structure the email message. Uses CSS to improve the look of the email. [MRINZ]
