Coca Cola happiness track Yusra AlBustany ID: 201102337 Assignment 1

Outline: Background of the advertisement. Persuasion tactics. Underlying attitudes and beliefs. Effectiveness. Summary.

Background of the advertisement: This advertisement is about Coca Cola soft drink. The length of it is 3 minutes. The idea of this advertisement is, Coca Cola company distribute Colas for free via track which walking inside the city and distribute Colas and gifts. There is no special age\ kind of people (rich\poor) for this advertisement, and that what makes it unique.

Persuasion tactics: In this advertisement they use the track with a red color (which is the brand color for Coca Cola), and that what attract the people which is the hot color. Also they use the silent way to advertise for their product, without saying any thing to attract the people, they just stop the track and make the people curious to know what inside the track. On the other hand, they not only distribute their product , they also distribute gifts which suitable with all ages. Finally, they use the surprised way to attract the people, because people don’t know what they will get when they push the button.

Underlying attitudes and beliefs: The makers of advertisement assume from the viewers: They will associate this advertisement or this product with happiness because, the company create this idea to let the people know they can get the happiness from simple things.

Effectiveness : My opinion for this advertisement is, they got their goal when I felt happy after seeing this advertisement. On the other hand I think this advertisement is so effective because it is not for one kind of people , and it is not for special age, so that will make it more public and effective.

Summary : In this presentation I mentioned 4 main pointes: 1- General information a bout the advertisement. 2- What the makers of advertisement use to attract the people? 3- What is the reaction of the viewers, when they saw the advertisement? 4- My opinion of this advertisement.
