Presentation transcript:

“People who help us” Junior World During the month of March children in Day Care enjoyed dressing up as fireman/policemen. They also spent a lot of time using their imagination with small world characters, acting out emergency scenes. The staff extended this interest by asking ‘people who help us’ to visit. We would like to thank all the services who came along to Junior World and helped to provide exciting opportunities for the children to explore and learn more.

Wow, how excited were we when the Big Red Fire Engine showed up……

Great opportunity to explore the inside of a fire engine and staff to support and recognise that new experiences are exciting

Definitely the best part Children are developing their ability to wait their turn with their friends..

Girls couldn’t wait to get to the hose pipes, great opportunity to develop physical skills..

It might take a year or two before the boys grow into these helmets

“Children having interesting things to do and having new people to talk with” Bta

More exploring inside the fire engines, lots of opportunities to ask questions, developing inquiry and investigation skills

Thank you to Nairn Fire Station for bringing your engine to Junior World

So who else do we know that helps us ?? We are very lucky to have one of the Mum’s who is a nurse and brought lots of exciting things for the children to explore……

Lots of exercising those fine motor skills using the syringes

Offering an environment to promote inquiry and interesting objects to explore and talk about

Children explored and investigated and had opportunity to learn new words

Oh no , guess who wants to play at doctors!!

Children were learning that you can listen to someones heart and demonstrating amazing bandaging skills

Next visit from our local police

Another opportunity to explore and investigate the inside of a vehicle.

Thank you so much for visiting Junior World, we will always wave and say hello when we next see you. We hope you enjoyed seeing pictures of your children enjoying their time at nursery. We would be very grateful if you would leave a comment to let us know you have viewed this slideshow.
