Third Grade News September 4th, 2017 Vocabulary: clap, glad, camp, stamp, hand, snack, rack, grabs, grin, bill, miss, lift, pink, sick, click Vocabulary: ached, effort, concentrate, discovery, inspired, educated, improved, satisfied September 4th, 2017 Dear Parents, Here we are going on the 3rd week of school. The students are getting adjusted to their new schedule and routines in the classrooms. We are currently testing students on I-Ready and soon they will be able to use the program on a daily basis at home and at school. We encourage you to keep an open line of communication with your child and his/her teacher. Together we all make a difference! Monday, –September 4th Labor Day Remember P.T.A. $8.00 Dear Families, This week, we will be reading from our text book, McGraw-Hill Wonders. We will be reading, “Bruno’s New Home” and “Wolf”. We will be focusing on the characteristics of a Fantasy. Students will also be working on understanding story elements, characters, setting, and plot. Science: Students will be focusing on Science Tools and the Scientific Method. Social Studies: Students are continuing to work on map skills. Students are currently finishing Chapter 1, Number Patterns, Addition & Subtraction. We encourage the reinforcement of these skills at home. Students will soon be using the Reflex program both in school and at home.
