Certificate II Engineering Studies Units 1 - 2

Course Description This course is assessment based and covers a cross section of competencies with a broad introduction to the engineering field. It encompasses Work Health & Safety, drawing, use of hand tools, organisation and communication. It also gives students exposure to workshop machines and practices.

What we Study? The learning is broken into separate activities that consist of a theory component in the classroom that introduces the areas to be studied and practical projects in the newly completed Trade Skills Centre that are then completed using their new knowledge and understanding, utilising current machining technologies.

Career outcomes…. Certificate II in Engineering Studies is the precursor to further study at Nagle College and all competencies obtained in this course are credited towards future courses. Engineering is a growth area in our society and there are many pathways created to which this course is a good introduction.
