When he was born Thomas Jefferson was born on April 13, 1743 in Shadwell, Virginia. This is when his life began.

Helping the government In 1767,Thomas admitted to practice law before general court. In 1767,he became a lawyer. This was the first sign of being America’s next president. In 1776, he wrote the Declaration of Independence.

The War He was Elected governor from 1779 to 1781. In 1783,he inspired the Colonists to fight in the Revolutionary War for freedom. In 1784,he entered public service again, in France.

President Jefferson In 1796,he was elected the presidential candidate of the Democratic Republicans. In 1801,Thomas became president on March 4,1801. In 1803,Jefferson began a controversial process of Indian tribe removal. In 1803,He decided to purchase of the Louisiana Territory from France.

Thomas’s Acts of freedom Jefferson implemented the Embargo Act of 1807. In 1807,He signed the Act prohibiting importation of Slaves.

Home again In 1809,Thomas returned to Virginia at home. Soon, Thomas died on July 4,1826. Even though Thomas sadly died, we will always remember the great deeds he did for our Country.
