I am a wrist watch By Filippa Fenech

‘Tick, tock. Tick, tock’. That is the sound I always hear ‘Tick, tock. Tick, tock’.That is the sound I always hear. I am a wrist watch and this is the story of my life packed with fun and adventures. So open you ears and listen to the story of my life.

Five months, ago on the 23rd January , I was created as a wall clock Five months, ago on the 23rd January , I was created as a wall clock. As they packed me up, lots of cogs and other parts fell out. They turned me into a wrist watch. I was happy to become a wrist watch ! Oh ,I almost forgot, I am called swiss and I am pink with Roman numerals and lots of precious stones. I also have two winding buttons. Anyway, back to the story - now where was I ... Oh yes, I was turned into a wrist watch! I was sent to a jewellery shop filled with necklaces, earrings, rings and lots and lots of gold and silver. Two weeks ago, my owner, Mariuccia bought me. She took me to her house in Ħal-Qormi. That very night I made friends with a clock and some jewellery. We did everything together and she took me to work. My favourite memory is when we went to see a beautiful site... Dingli cliffs. I feel happy with where I am!

Mariuccia took me to the repair shop yesterday and now I am as good as new. I know what you’re thinking – how could he fix me so fast?!! The thing is that the shop I lived in was not very popular and not very busy ! Five hours ago, Mariuccia got me back home. As soon as she got me, she wore me.

I slept an hour ago because I got so tired yesterday I slept an hour ago because I got so tired yesterday. While I slept, I had a bad dream. It was that I broke and Mariuccia took no notice of me anymore! I woke up when I felt Mariuccia touch me with her soft, delicate hands. Well, I guess it’s time for another adventure, I have to go but it won’t be long before I return. See you next time!
