Supporting NH’s Youth Becoming a Youth Mental Health First Aider is an important first step in supporting NH’s youth and the work of the Office of Student Wellness. Here are some other things you can do: Tell someone about YMHFA Stay open and responsive to the needs of youth Fully utilize your training and ALGEE Report your linkages Additional funding and supports

What is a linkage? The E’s in ALGEE! Anytime you encourage a school-aged youth to access a mental health or related service, resource or support (including self-help)…this is a linkage!   Referral/Linkages include: School counselor, psychologist, social worker, etc. Community based mental health counselor, crisis hotline, clergy, etc. Other connections including self-help Linkage verbiage handouts
