- INDIVIDUAL MODEL OF MORAL EDUCATION “FORGIVENESS” - INDIVIDUAL MODEL OF MORAL EDUCATION

General part Relevance. FORGIVENESS phenomenon studies show a positive effect on: moral values education, psychological well-being, socialization process.

Forgiveness - an active process of personal self-determination and our will to act and the decision to obey God. The Lord does not propose to forgive. He commanded to forgive.

The concept of forgiveness Forgiveness theme is common in psychotherapy. There are some cases when on the same day psychological help was asked both by the victim and the offender. In forgiveness process the motive is very important - why you need to forgive. To forgive - is to find a way to: your inner peace and happiness, the way to your soul.

THE AIM Before releasing to freedom to help get rid of unpleasant emotions and return a control to external and internal life. To help: develop proper moral values, improve psychological state, facilitate the process of socialization.

ACQUIRING COMPETENCIES Interpersonal, Social, Civic competence.

METHODS 1. Individual consultation 2. Practical task 3.Talk / Discussion 4. Formation of forgiveness plan 5. Rehearsing of talk with the offender

Individual consultation about the fact that: Forgiveness is not a feeling - it is a will act. To forgive does not mean to justify the behavior of the offender. Forgiveness and trust are two different things. Forgiveness is not freeing from liability.

Individual consultation about the fact that : Unforgiveness leads to spiritual stagnation. Unforgiveness - obstacle Forgiveness - life style. Wrong reaction in general is no better than the wrong behavior.

PRACTICAL TASKS

REHABILITATION Theme: „Try to understand the situation of being hurt". Methodology: individual work, consideration, discussion. Aim: to show how important is to look at the situation from the other (the offender) side to get a clearer picture of the circumstances in which the harm was made. This is very important in the further forgiveness process.

Individual task– „Two perspectives for one situation" REHABILITATION Individual task– „Two perspectives for one situation" From the perspective of the offender From the victim's perspective Matches or differences Context of the situation / circumstances. Behavior / action vision, understanding and acceptance. Injustices causes Behavior, actions carried out immediately after the harm Behavior and actions after a period of time

REHABILITATION II. Theme: "Understanding and identification with the offender". Methodology: individual work, consideration, discussion. Aim: to show how important it is to empathize with the offender state, feelings and emotions, to get a clearer picture of what the offender felt, this way demonstrating that the offender is vulnerable and has his own weaknesses

Individual consultation To discuss what the client wrote. Discussion and argument, trying as far as possible to find out how and what has changed / unchanged offender's emotions and feelings.

FORGIVENESS III. Theme: "Reward enabling" Methodology: individual work, consideration, discussion. Aim:to show what can be the consequences in cases of forgiveness and unforgiveness, that hurt person should to choose what is better for him - to forgive or not to forgive.

FORGIVENESS Individual task - "Two of your position" Revenge position Forgiveness position Your thoughts and emotions Your psychological health Your body health Your relationship with the offender Your relationship with your relatives.

FORGIVENESS Individual task "Liability + actions" Write all liability in your view, which should assume the offender and what actions should be carried out to implement them. Offender assumed responsibility Offender's actions on assumed responsibilities

Individual consultation FORGIVENESS Individual consultation To discuss what the client wrote. Discussion and argument, trying as far as possible to find out if standards are not too high toward offender and whether it corresponds to reality.

FORGIVENESS IV. Theme: "Open forgiveness act". Methodology: individual work, consideration, discussion. Formation of rehearsing plan, rehearsing, talk / discussion.

FORGIVENESS Individual task - "Formation of forgiveness plan " To plan at least two alternative plans what the victim would like to discuss with the offender. Talk scene 1 plan - the offender shows the willingness to restore relations and are willing to discuss. Talk scene 2 plan - when the offender does not show the desire to restore relations and not let himself into the debate.

Individual task with helper– „Forgiveness rehearsing" Talking with the "offender" participant has in clear, consistent and understandable way to lecture what he wants to say. Client should be ready sincerely to implement the act of forgiveness, no matter how react offender.

FORGIVE if you want the Lord forgive your sins.
