Module – you must explore Significant developments in the Performing Arts from 1900- 2000 remember this can be in drama dance film/Tv music practitioner – writer – director – actor –choreographer- musician genre – comedy – horror – realism period in time Context explore these significant developments in relation to a wider social, political and economic context

WHY IS THIS IMPORTANT ? It is essential to your practical work as it develops your skills to research analyse and evaluate the wider context of performing arts practitioners Develops your critical and analytical skills It develops presentation and written skills It broadens and deepens your knowledge about the performing arts

(Dance,genres,film,style) Choosing a topic For both the essay and the presentation The Starting Point Must be The performing Arts (Dance,genres,film,style) Then you explore the wider context that is inspiring and influencing that performance

Where are we now You have chosen a topic for your presentation that is within the dates 1900 to 1950 Have started your research and are writing your draft

Next three weeks Research, develop and write your presentation creating a draft presentation Be ready to present your draft to Gill for 1st and 2nd March Be ready with finished presentation for deadline date 8th and 9th March for this week We will also continue with some new content starting to explore subjects from 1950 to 2000 that will help with your essay topic
