Water Eco News Eco-Team 2015-2016 Energy Savers Don’t Forget! ECO-CODE!   St. Ninnidh’s Primary is going green, The nicest school you have seen. Environmentally friendly that’s our aim, Cleaning up is our game. We’ll do our best to reduce waste, Picking up litter in haste. Conserving energy, saving water Stopping the planet getting hotter. Eating well, keeping fit Will help us make a job of it. Eco-Team 2015-2016 Water Thank you for supporting the school’s ‘Cash for Clobber’ event. We are pleased to report that your efforts raised 220 Energy Savers We had a great response to our Energy Savers Competition and the new signs have been installed around the school. We have also elected class energy monitors. In a bid to reduce our water consumption we have recently installed ‘Water Hippos’ in the cisterns We would loved to install a water fountain in the playground to keep us rehydrated during play but this is improving too costly. Should anyone know of a firm willing to sponsor one for the school or a grant that could be applied for please get in touch! Don’t Forget! You can help us raise money every time you shop online by visiting the easy fundraising website first. It costs nothing do donate and no one knows what you are purchasing.

One of our aims this year is to improve the school grounds and provide a fun, stimulating environment for all pupils. In keeping with our green credentials we would love to up-cycle some waste materials. Have a look at some of the great ideas that could easily be created with a little help and support. If you could provide some of the necessary materials let us know by telephoning the school or e-mailing borourke642@c2kni.net with the subject ‘eco-council’. We are also appealing for any ‘handy’ or ‘green fingered’ parents or grandparents to work with they Eco-team directly . We propose that anyone willingly to lend their time and expertise, meet with the eco-team on Friday 22nd April at 1:45pm.
