Now, add the last Volunteer Service Project you participated in, completing the form – example is on screen. Have them Add to Resume and point out the Edit button – they can update as their hours, jobs, etc. change.

Career Exploration to help them find out about different careers and majors. Open personality type – tell them about the purpose of the inventory. Open career interest profiler and tell them the purpose of the interest survey. Explain what explore careers and clusters link is about.

Open the Colleges Tab: Talk about College Research, showing them the College Search link

Explain: Type: 2 vs 4 year – explain how selecting 4 year option takes the number of schools in the program down by about 50%; public vs. private; stress religious affiliation is not asking what religion they are but if they want to see a list of only Catholic schools or only Baptist schools. Explain they can search by Location – as specific as one state or entire regions, like North, southeast, west, etc. Stress athletics is only completed if they are interested in playing “hard core” division sports in college; intramurals and club sports are under Special Programs.
