SLOPES Essential Question: How do we relate the concept of slope as rate of change and how do we determine slopes from graphs, tables and algebraic representations? What is the meaning of slope and intercepts in situations using data, symbolic representations and graphs? Slope (Gradient incline pitch) use to describe the measurement of the steepness of a straight line. The higher the slope the steeper the line. The slope of a line is a rate of change.
